Written Pattern:
Red yarn
Make a slipknot, ch 2, go back into the first ch that you made and make 4 dc = 4
Dc around for 1 row = 4
*1 inc, 1 dc* x 2 = 6
*1 inc, 2 dc* x 2 = 8
*1 inc, 3 dc* x 2 = 10
*1 inc, 4 dc* x 2 = 12
*1 inc, 5 dc* x 2 = 14
*6 dc, 1 inc* x 2 = 16
*1 inc, 7 dc* x 2 = 18
*8 dc, 1 inc* x 2 = 20
*1 inc, 9 dc* x 2 = 22
*10 dc, 1 inc* x 2 = 24
Ss to the next st and change to White yarn, ch 1, knit the two ends together, 1 dc in the same st that you ss into, 1 dc in each st = 24
*1 inc, 11 dc* x 2 = 26
Attach a bought pompom to the top of the hat or make a pompom, take some white yarn and wrap it around 2 or 3 fingers and cut the yarn,
Slip the wrapped yarn off your finger gently, cut another piece of white yarn long enough to go through the wrapped yarn and knot it on top of the hat, thread the yarn piece through the wrapped yarn and make a tight knot, Cut through all the strands of yarn on the opposite side to the knot,
Hold the two longer pieces of yarn that made the knot and trim all the other strands, Once your happy with the pompom use the two long strands and knot it to the top of the hat.
Thread a red piece of yarn through the top of the hat and knot to make loop to hang on your tree.
