How To Crochet A Bigger Christmas Stocking

Written Pattern:

White Yarn
Make a slipknot, ch 3 (does not count as a stitch), 10 hdc into the first chain that you made ss to the top of the starting chain = 10

Ch 1, *1 inc* x 10, ss to ch 1 = 20

Ch 1, *1 inc, 1 hdc* x 10, ss to ch 1 = 30

Ch 1, *2 hdc, 1 inc* x 10, ss to ch 1 = 40

Ch 1, 1 Hdc in each st , ss to ch 1 = 40

Ch 1, 1 Hdc in each st , Red Yarn ss to ch 1 = 40

Red Yarn
Knot the white yarn and tail from the main color together, cut the white yarn, ch 1

1 hdc in each st for 8 rows = 40

Ss to the next st and change to the white yarn, Do not cut the main color yarn this time, ch 1

White Yarn
1 Hdc into the same st that you ss into, hdc 17 = 18
Ch1, turn your work, *hdc 18* x 5 = 18

Ch1, cut your yarn (long enough to stitch the two sides together)
Fold the 6 white rows together and use a yarn needle to stitch the last row closed. Hide the yarn tail inside the heel that you just made.

Red Yarn

Go back to your main color thread and insert your hook into the first white st, pull through your red yarn and ch1, make 1 hdc into that same stitch, make another 17 hdc along the white
stitches then made 22 hdc along the red color = 40

1 hdc in each st for 15 rows = 40

13 hdc (or as many hdc as you need to get to the back of the stocking)

White Yarn
Ss to the next st and change to the white yarn, knot the white yarn and tail from the main color together, cut the main color yarn, ch 1

1 Hdc into the same st that you ss into, *1 hdc in each st* x 4
rows = 40

Ch 25, ss to the next st, cut your yarn and hide the tail.
