This pattern for a larger crochet mouse was requested by a subscriber on my YouTube channel a few months after I posted my smaller crochet mouse pattern. This larger crochet mouse toy that is perfect to give to new kittens, cats or a toy for kids! This pattern is made all in one, meaning that there is no fiddly pieces to stitch on at the end of the pattern, this does mean that some people may find the pattern a bit hard to complete.
While this pattern is available for free here on MummaJ Crochet, a PDF version is also available (low cost and print friendly!) and includes the patterns for both the small and large mice!

sc 2, 1 dec x6 = 18
Sc around for 2 rows = 18
In the front loop only (1 sc, 1 dc, 2 tr, 1 dc, 1 sc) to make the first ear, 3 flo ss, in the next stitch flo (1 sc, 1 dc, 2 tr, 1 dc, 1 sc) to make the second ear, 13 sc = 18
1 blo sc, 1 blo dec, 1 blo sc, 1 dec with the last back loop and the next sc, * 1 sc, 1 dec* x 4 = 12
1 sc in each stitch 2 row = 12
Stuff
sc 1, 1 dec x 4 = 8
sc 2, 1 dec x 2 = 6
Cut your yarn leaving a massive tail, thread the yarn through the front loops of the last 6 stitches and pull tight, thread the yarn from the nose of the mouse all the way through to the back where you started.
Take your hook, place it in one side of the stitch near the long tail of yarn, yarn over pull it through and chain 35 or 40 depending on how long you want your tail.
Skip the last chain that you made and put 2 sc in each chain all the way back down to the body of the mouse.
Once your back at the body push your hook through one side of a stitch (near the start of the tail) and out the other side and make a sc, chain 1 and hide the rest of the yarn tail inside the mouse.
