How To Crochet A Simple Beanie Sizes 1 To 3 Years

Written Pattern:

Row 1.

Ch 5, ss to the first ch that you made to make a loop Ch 2, make 14 dc into the loop you made, Ss to the top of the first dc you made = 14

Pull the tail tight to close the center.

Row 2.

Ch 2 (every ch 2 from here now counts as a stitch), make 1 dc in the same st as your ch 2, 1 dc inc in each st = 28

Row 3.

Ch 2, 1 dc in the same st as your ch 2, 1 dc, *1 dc inc, 1 dc* x 13, ss to the top of the ch 2 = 42

Row 4.

Ch 2, 1 dc in the same st as your ch 2, 2 dc, *1 dc inc, 2 dc* x 13, ss to the top of the ch 2 = 56

Row 5.


Ch 2, 1 dc in the same st as your ch 2, 27 dc, 1 dc inc, 27 dc, ss to the top of the ch 2 = 58

Ch 2, 1 dc in each st, repeat this row until it measures 9 inches long from the center of the beanie, I made 12 rows.
If you don’t want the brim of the beanie to fold up please repeat the row above until it measures 6.5 – 7 inches long from the center of the beanie.

The hat circumference should measure between 16 to 17 inches.
